2 Days of Racing: Saturday and Sunday June 7 and 8, 2008

A Regatta for Big Boats. Dual Scored IRC / ORR. No Upper Speed Limit Lower Speed Limit TBD

One Design Classes over 30 feet with 10 or more entries

2 Classes of PHRF (Rating Band 10 through 150)

Organizing Authority: Sail Newport, Rhode Island's Public Sailing Center

Sailing Area: In the vicinity of Halfway Rock. app 2nm from New England Boatworks

Regatta Format
Sailor defined Courses
All boats with valid ORR and IRC certificates may elect for Duel Scoring. Prizes given for ORR and IRC Class and Overall Winners. Likely to have Buoy Races Saturday and Around the Island on Sunday. Water Ballasted, Canting Keel or other "Big" boats wishing to do longer (18-22 mile) courses on Saturday will have the option to do so as a class.
The remaining OD and PHRF classes will have buoy racing on Saturday (3-4 races) and an "Around the Island (Conanicut) Race" on Sunday.
