Sail Newport Youth Sailing Program Lottery Registration Closed on Saturday Feb 13th at 5pm.

The 2010 Sail Newport Youth Program Lottery Registration is now open and will remain open until 5 p.m. on Saturday February 13, 2010. When registering your child, be sure to follow ALL steps carefully, and be sure that you receive a confirmation e-mail for your child. If you do NOT receive a confirmation, be sure to check your spam/bulk folders, then if you still dont find it, feel free to email Vinnie to make sure the registration went through. Please note that if you are trying to access this website using Apple's SAFARI browser, you may not be able to see all parts of the site, nor use the on-line registration. Use either FireFox or Internet Explorer for best results, or you may stop by the Sail Newport Office to use one of our computers to complete the online registration as well. Admittance into Sail Newport's Youth Dinghy, Keelboat and Little Guppies Programs is not handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the tremendous popularity of the program(s), a lottery is used to assign spaces in the various classes.
Online Lottery Registration is available by clicking on the link "Go To Lottery Registration" after reading this. ONLINE Registration is the preferred (only) method of registering! No deposit is required at this time, however, payment or financial aid forms will be required once student has been accepted into the program.
Sail Newport collects all Dinghy, Little Guppy and Keelboat Class registration forms from early January through February 13th, until 5 pm (The Day of the Open House). Please remember that this is NOT a first-come, first-served program.
If, after 5 pm on February 13th, any class, in any session has more registrations than slots available, THAT SESSION WILL GO TO A LOTTERY.
It is HIGHLY recommended to have 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th choices for the lottery, as you may not get into a first choice, but if you do not have alternate choices, you may be shut out of the program entirely.
Results of the Lottery will be posted online HERE a few days after the lottery closes.
If after February 13th at 5PM, there are spaces open in any of the classes, students will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will continue through the spring until all slots are filled and thereafter a waiting list will be kept.
