Sail Newport offers weekly group adult learn-to-sail, adult intermediate and adult advanced classes from mid May through August. In the fall, group instruction is offered on weekends late August through October.

Within each session, students of the same skill level work with an instructor, with a maximum ratio of 3:1. Classes are taught on our fleet of J/22s. All levels of skill are offered each session, providing you with the flexibility to take as many sessions as you wish, when you wish, and make progress towards your goals at your own pace.

Please also note that sailing instruction takes place rain or shine. If you are scheduled and it’s severely inclement weather, we will reach out to you to reschedule. Otherwise, please arrive at the Sailing Center for indoor review and classroom learning.
