Ways to Give

There are many ways to support Sail Newport, including:

Check, Credit Card, PayPal, Apple Pay

Please make checks payable to Sail Newport.  Credit card gifts can be made via the GIVE NOW button on this page or by calling Sail Newport  (401-846-1983).  Paypal (desktop or mobile), Venmo (desktop only) or Apple Pay (mobile only) gifts can be made online or via your mobile device.

 

Donor Advised Funds

Please recommend Sail Newport to your DAF administrator, make a recurring gift through your DAF, or name Sail Newport as a beneficiary of your DAF. You are welcome to specify how you would like your gift attributed (General Operating, Where Needed Most, etc.).

 

 

Employer Matching Gifts

Matching gift programs allow employees to increase the size of their gift by a “match” that comes from their employer. If your company has a matching gift program, please complete and submit any necessary forms.

 

Endowment Gifts

Endowment gifts provide longterm financial support and stability as they are placed in a restricted investment fund structured to preserve the principal.  Sail Newport draws up to 4.25% annually from the endowment for both restricted and unrestricted purposes.

 

Gifts of Securities

Sail Newport accepts gifts of stock and other asset donations. If you are considering making a gift of stock,  please contact us for bank information, etc.

 

In-Kind/Boat Donations

Sail Newport does accept certain in-kind and boat donations.  Please contact us to discuss the donation you are considering.

 

In Memory/Honor of

Sail Newport is honored to accept and acknowledge gifts received in Memory/Honor of an individual or an occasion.  Please contact us to discuss your wishes.

 

Planned Gifts

Donors who include Sail Newport in their estate plans leave a lasting legacy to our organization.  Please contact us to discuss your wishes to extend your support to Sail Newport beyond your lifetime.

 

Pledges

Donors sometimes prefer to make a gift over a period of time and therefore make a “pledge” to fulfill the gift over a period of time through a number of payments.  For example, some donors who make a $10,000 gift prefer to do so over 4 years, so $2500 per year.  Please contact us if you are considering a pledge to Sail Newport.

 

Qualified Charitable Distributions

Qualifying donors (age 70.5+) may make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to Sail Newport from their IRA account.  Please contact your financial advisor to learn the specific guidelines about making a gift through a QCDs.
