Road to the Sears Cup Youth Clinic Series

This is a unique opportunity for sailors who wish to gain more experience on a triplehanded sportboat. The clinic is designed to prepare sailors to participate in the Sears Qualifier for the Chubb U.S. Junior Championship.

When: Sundays, May 31, June 7, 14 and 21, 2020

Time: Noon to 5 p.m. each day

Coaching: A 1:3 coach to boat ratio

Fee: $400 per sailors

Includes: Four days of coaching and the use of an RS-21 sport sailboat.

We encourage sailors to create triple-handed teams representing their own Yacht Club, School, or Community Sailing Center. Through the registration form, you will be able to list your crew member(s).  We also invite individuals to register, and if numbers allow us to create teams as such, we will; full refunds will be made if registration numbers do not allow for a “mixed” team.  This is not a learn-to-race clinic, but instead a lean how to race sport boats.

Prerequisites:

  • Sailors must have sailboat racing experience (Opti, Laser or other boat)
  • Sailors must be between the aged of 13 and 18
    • Competitors must have reached their 13th birthday but not their 19th in 2020
