Sail Newport Congratulates Nikki Raccio on Five-Year Anniversary
Sail Newport proudly congratulates Nikki Raccio on reaching her five-year milestone with the organization. Known for her ability to bring people together, Nikki transforms every event, from youth regattas to vibrant waterfront fundraisers, into a meaningful celebration of community. Her attention to detail and thoughtful coordination ensure each experience runs smoothly and leaves a lasting impression on sailors and visitors of all ages.

Beyond orchestrating events of every scale, Nikki’s passion shines brightest when she rallies and inspires volunteers throughout the year. Her energetic leadership turns volunteering into a rewarding adventure for all involved.
“Nikki has been a driving force behind the welcoming and well-run feel of Sail Newport, making events seamless and enjoyable for everyone involved. A place where people feel connected and part of the community. On a personal note,
working with Nikki over the past five years has been an incredibly fun, rewarding, and memorable experience,” says Mark Amorello, volunteer.
Also, thanks to Nikki’s leadership, the Sail Newport Mid-Park Recreational Building is a hub for sailing events and community gatherings. For example, this June, it will serve as headquarters for the Newport to Bermuda Race, hosting registration, safety briefings, and race management activities.
“Right from the start in January 2022 when I was moving the Newport Bermuda Race Headquarters to Sail Newport Nikki has been a delight to ‘work’ with. Her easy, confident manner has made for smooth problem solving throughout the years we have been doing events at Sail Newport, Bravo Zulu Nikki on a job well done,” says Janet Garnier, Newport Bermuda Race – newport operations chair/Sail Newport volunteer.

As we celebrate Nikki’s fifth anniversary with Sail Newport, we recognize the depth of experience she brought with her in arts, entertainment, and event production. Before joining the team, Nikki built a strong foundation in artist relations and large-scale event. operations, contributing to music festivals, live venues, and tourism-based experiences.
Her background includes key management roles with the Beach Road Weekend Music Festival in Martha’s Vineyard, Innovation Arts and Entertainment in Chicago, Aquamarine Adventures in St. Maarten, and the Pabst Theater Group and Summerfest in Milwaukee as well as a leadership role with Empire Tea & Coffee in Newport.
Members of the community also join in on the congratulations for Nikki’s accomplishments and talents leading Sail Newport’s events.

Raised just outside of Milwaukee, Nikki now calls Portsmouth, RI, home with her fiance and two furry cats. Although a steadfast supporter of the Milwaukee Brewers, Nikki brings spirited energy to an office filled with passionate Red Sox fans.
Yes, that ‘s our Nikki dressed as a squid for the spirited Halloween Howl party. Always game for a fun event, she has also been seen donned in a chicken outfit. Party on!
